Nivå Camping
The owners of Nivå Camping Eva and Bent Mortensen have decided to sell the site after 20 years of ownership.
The campsite is the entrance to the “North Zealand of the Kings”. It is centrally located for visits to all of North Zealand, close to Strandvejen and the Danish Riviera. Here there is easy access to museums (Louisiana, Nivaagaards Malerisamling and Karen Blixen Museum), trains (Kystbanen), buses and cycle paths, while also being close to the beautiful coastline between Copenhagen and Helsingør with its unique maritime environment. It is only 30 km from City Hall Square in Copenhagen, and it is only 800 meters down to Nivå Harbor and Strandpark with 2 good restaurants, an ice house, water activities and a lovely child-friendly sandy beach with lifeguards during the school holidays. The location can probably only be described as perfect, and it is the only campsite that is close to the water between Helsingør and Copenhagen.
The square’s area is approx. 6 ha, it is approved for 174 units. In the 2023 season, there were 38 regulars. The vast majority of the site’s revenue comes from tourists and from rental units.
The current on the site is 16 amps. There is Wi-Fi on the site, which underwent a major upgrade in 2023. There is Wi-fi at approx. 80% of the campsite.
The site itself is laid out in hilly terrain with lakes and beautiful old trees. It is aimed at an audience that values beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings. Guests with dogs will greatly enjoy the dog forest, which is located right by the Lergravssøerne close to the campsite. Lergravssøerne is a beautiful recreational area laid out with, among other things, beautiful trail systems for hiking, lakeside platforms for fishing, obstacle courses, picnic tables, fire pits, a 10-meter high observation tower, and a truly unique wildlife.
On the square there is a special activity that also stems from the fantastic nature, namely “Nivå Klatrepark”. There are challenges for both children and adults. The climbing park is located on the square, but is run by “Til Tops”.
Inside the boom you will find the camp manager’s residence, reception/shop building. The reception and shop are arranged so that both parts are operated as a whole. There is a workstation. The shop area is furnished with various shelves, refrigerated display cases and cash registers. Freezer for ice cream is owned by the supplier, the other equipment is owned by the seller. Next to the reception building there is an unmanned tourist information office, various warehouses, workshop.
The sanitary building contains traditional ladies’/gents’ wards with 16 toilets, 22 washbasins, 8 showers, 4 waterless urinals and 2 family rooms with a changing area as well as a storage room for a chemical toilet with a washbasin. Communal kitchen with 2 sinks and 3 individual gas hobs from 2023 as well as a microwave and table oven. Just outside the kitchen department on the large covered terrace are 2 kitchen sinks, a fish cleaning area, a large gas grill that is free to use and 6 bench tables with space for approx. 40 seated guests. In addition, it is a laundry with 1 industrial washing machine and 1 tumble dryer, both mrk. Miele.
The sanitary building was built in 1975 and rebuilt in 2007.
The building looks nice and is well-functioning with skylights, it naturally shows the signs of its age, but it has been renovated in the best way.
The square’s playground is equipped with a play tower, carousels, swings, seesaws, bouncy cushions, a sandbox, a table tennis table and a pétanque court. In a small enclosure, the site’s 2 goats walk and enjoy themselves. There is a nice campfire. Bicycle rental for campsite guests.
